Andrew Barton Paterson
A. B. “Banjo” Paterson was born in 1864 in Australia. He is famous for his bush poetry, particularly “Waltzing Matilda” and “The Man from Snowy River.” The pen name he sometimes used, “The Banjo,” was derived from the name of a favorite horse.
