Barry Cornwall

Barry Cornwall is the pen name of Bryan Waller Procter, born in November 1787 in Yorkshire. He published several books of poems, some essay collections, and some memoirs on Ben Johnson and William Shakespeare. He is generally considered a capable but minor poet who echoed many of the influences of his time but did not show major talent.
