Rudyard Kipling
Best known for The Jungle Book, Rudyard Kipling was born in India and sent to England as a young boy. He was a wildly famous author during his life and spent time traveling and living in various places around the world, including living for some time in the United States. His works remain controversial today with questions surrounding the imperialistic and sometimes racist attitudes many critics see in his writing.
